Toward Europe with cashier

Is morning before I go . 

My flight is settled for a 8.45 am . Its means that I need wake up in the middle  of the night following my biological clock  .

Anyway alarm clock is on for 4,00 am. Brrrrr. Obviously is still dark ,when I wake up . Is difficult to have a good sleep ,because possibility to miss a flight is always a source of stress . It makes sleeping just deprived. 

At least that time has came . 

Alarm wakes me up . 

I decided don't go without taking a shower anyway . I will go to dentist straight on after arriving , so its only a time for leaving my luggage at my old  friend home . Well .Is good be grateful ,that is the one still there . 

So .Let's be prepare . 

This time has been more problematic perhaps I took a two weeks . Is easier go just for a few days. I usually  like go for a one week max only ,what doesn't requests a big baggage and another check in . Is much easier walk with a small suitcase .  This is a perfect style of travelling for me , short but intensive ; everything interesting to see and explore done as quick possible : Japan in eight days ? amazing experience 

But that's a past right now . 

Actually there is another  direction and things to do and explore so on . 

Come on .Hurry up .  This morning a time is limited . 

Coffee always helps to move on . 

After checking and making sure ,that everything is alright at my place is time to head off to the  airport . Is direct public  bus nb 16 going there  but is still too early and too risky count for this transportation . Likely we have also aircoach  service available .It usually takes about half of hour to walk to the bus stop with suitcase pulling ,but helps save money for taxi and  go .on budget .

Living in Dublin makes travelling easier . Poor are these who live apart . 

I still remember my first years in Ireland ,when I needed come to Dublin a day before and stay  overnight on the airport . 

Things improved a much more from these times ,as we have Kavanagh & Sons private company operating transportation to the  airport . 

I was lucky don't catch a rain fallen . Likely storm which we experienced a day before has been gone . Sometimes ,when weather conditions are not such friendly is easy get fed up of waiting in the rain and take a taxi anyway . 

Many times drivers were collecting people awaiting and offered the same price for a ride as aircoach .Lucky deal so .

After a waiting for a while the bus arrived . Customer care showed by the bus driver was a pretty nice experience . 

 

Everything goes as planned !

 

The main baggage check in went well so  far . Surprise . I haven't used this service from a years . I just like have all my baggage on me . Thanks for a new technology . All what is to do that's just go to machine and another . We really don't need other people for anything ? This is a modern trend ,which I really dislike as someone with deep sense of

humanity . 

However the custom  check in still can't be replaced by any machine . Is a wise idea to be collaborative with  these guys from custom . I know ,what I'm talking about . 

What I have observed during my last trip they are more gently than before .

Anyway the main point is get your destination . so for this reason is ok to be agreeable

 

Finally is great to get your chosen online seat on the aeroplane board ,be informed about safety regulations during this  flight  ,fast a belt and go .  So many are afraid of flying ,but I love this moment when the aeroplane is getting off . 

That's a great feeling , when you are leaving everything behind and moving to totally different reality . Its fulfill my sense of curiosity. 

And from that moment all stress is going away . 

You just start thinking of that place where you are going to stay . 

You would like to ask this question ''why do we like to go on holidays ?.

We simple need recharge our batteries .

This is essential for our well being . 

If You are living in Ireland  going away is another crucial  issue of your emigration reality .  The main reason that is   not sunny enough over here . Excuse me for saying it . This is something what is hard to bear with for me . And as long as I live here it's not going be changed . Another thing is my curiosity and will to explore and experience a new ,which is not to cure by any type of treatment .  After visiting a many places toward the Europe I may say ,that I don't regret to be in any of them . Some became special for me , so I had back again .  And with that experience I can advise ,that is worth to go anywhere . Every place has something unique to offer as culture, food , fashion , architecture , sense of humour etc . Also visiting your people in  Poland  and back to the roots  is such important for you .  Until you are still having anybody  over there.

Although  travelling is always making me so nervous however is always worth to go . 

Maybe this is exactly the same like when woman is giving a birth . Its  causing a lots of pain but I guess every mother is forgetting everything in this moment ,when is getting a newborn baby into her arms .For me time of freedom from work is a time for creating memories . My aim is make my holidays unforgettable I do it less or more likely . 

 

 How did I start ?

All it began when I was involved in business .Our leader knew it very well ,that travelling is opening our minds . So they decided organise meetings internationally . oh wow . And that experience ,made me hungry of exploring a new places . Also my episode in Austria played  a important role in my mind opening and made me wanted going to see more . 

What is interesting to see 

Generally there are some other reasons why people are  travelling . They want adventure , new experience and have relax and  fun . Also environment change is super helpful for mental health. My life in Ireland became like surviving from holidays to another .

This is a strong desire . It became a sense of  my life , reason to work towards. 

During my first years in Ireland Poland was obviously the main destination .  Meeting people there was the most important for me . Absolutely . Another important issues which were  bringing me  to Poland. 

 

Business Journeys 

 

After that idea moving to  Austria collapsing I went so down for a long time . I just began curious however I will need my passport again .

But life is writing unexpected scenarios for us. I started be involved in the business . 

And what happened one day . Our leader said something very clear. Let's prepare yours passports . We are going away . 

During these time we needed passports indeed . It was just a few years before our join to the EU. 

Prague in Czech Republic became the meeting point. We had couple working very hard there ,so they were convinced ,that is worth to go over there . So . We got into bus and went experience massive motivation , inspiration and also to see this pretty  city . Although we were on the meeting for a whole days however we have got a change to explore the most knew and  beautiful places in Prague .  Just using underground was so funny . We all  laugh with  Czech language . Some words are  similar to Polish but have totally different meaning .  I was so surprised ,when I met  African speaking Czech. From beginning I said ,that I don't understand anything ,but with time passing I caught Czech perfectly and could understand more .  But what is to see ;definitely Hradcany ,Vaclavskie namiesti and Gold Street . Charl's Bridge .I have been there a few times under different weather conditions . Anytime You go over there ,you can always feel a unique atmosphere of this place. There are artists performing : playing on instruments or exposing paintings . 

Obviously we went to went to see place ,where soldier Szweyk was drinking beer . 

Later , when I was living in Ireland I attended to meetings which were  taking place in Brno .  We were  staying in Slavkov u Brna  in hotel called Sokolsky Dum . What is important to know ,that before it was Austerlitz  . As we know during Napoleon Bonaparte times  the Battle of Austerlitz  took place just a few kilometers away . The palace is still welcoming visitors . it was a fest and people dressed up in costumes . This event is still reminded .

 

To make our weekends there more attractive we arranged visits in Viena . 

I must admit that is no better organised and charming capital city in whole the Europe than Viena . I really wish live there if not language barrier , I tried learn German when I was in creche and primary school , but it was always too hard for pronunciation . 

However atmosphere of city is unique the same like of every city ,but I guess spirit of Mozart makes Vienna  such special . Was kind of pity explore Schoenbrunn Palace gardens in October ,but still good enough . My every year  tradition is watching New Year concert from there , what always remands me Vienna and my mother . 

Our ritual , something without visit in Vienna would not make any sense was coff served in famous Sacher Hotel . Believe me -the best chocolate tart is over there . 

Very special moment took place ,when we went to Kahlenberg mountains located in district of Viena . We need remember ,that Vienna is lies down in valley and is surrounded by mountains . We had unbelievable view  and Sacher coffee served . But the most special ,what is important for Poles is fact ,that is chapel over there dedicated memory of Polish king Jan III Sobieski victory in 1668 . We were lucky attend to mass in Polish . 

Another our business tours destination was Budapest and Debrecen in Hungary . I have visited  Budapest three times . 

I must admit ,that I have got real chance to explore this lovely city .  What is essential to realize if we talk about Budapest ,that city is divided for two parts by the Dunay river . Parliament Building we may also divide ideally for two . Is perfectly symmetrical . 

It has been a great day which we spent with guide . What was interesting he was Hungarian but spoke Polish really not too bad . He claimed ,that he just stays with Polish excursions only . What was absolutely delightful he knew a lots of jokes, so we had a fun . He tried teach us some Hungarian words but it became a very difficult task . Myself I haven't got even one . Non ,I don't have idea how to say Hello in Hungarian .   He also had a many stories to tell ,when we went to Hero's Square And again it was a super occasion  to explore so much in common in both ours countries history . We had a close royal families relationships and the same kings .

After visit at square ,we would admire old town attractions with gorgeous gate in baroque style. 

And finally cruise toward Dunay river  in the evening was like a dessert after meal . The sun set time was chosen just especially for us as the best possible. Glass of vine and Straus's music made that day fulfilled . 

 

 

Singing in amphitheatre 

 

It happened just a two years after my moving to Ireland . It means ,that I was settled for well over there . At least I didn't packed  up  and returned to Poland . It was a reason for , but this is not a topic to rise up  for now.  

 

What is important for this story is fact ,that I sang with n the choir in church.  They liked go somewhere away together once at two years . That time it was Italy in plan ; Verona , Venice   and Garda Lake . Absolutely lovely plan . Nobody didn't have to encourage me to do it so . 

The cost seemed a bit high , but If we think about ,that flights , transportation within , the whole day trip with guide , water taxi and another guide in Venice , four star accommodation with half board it was really worth to pay . Particularly food. Oh gosh . I would die for . 

The cost was also my job . Well . My boss said No problem when I asked for permit . When time of my trip came along he make ultimatum . The choice was simple . I can go but i don't need back to work. I don't know what about everyone of You ,but for me it was so simple too . I decided go to Italy anyway . 

 

We landed  in Milano . I would not  hide kind of disappointment . All what I could notice on our road from airport was industry , many factories and nothing natural or beautiful to see . But others from our group ensured me that we will discover amazing places later . and they were totally right . We started from Verona and singing at local church . Verona is proud from two main attractions , which are Juliet's House and amphitheatre . I was lucky to get on the balcony .We started sing when we were in amphitheatre , what brought some audience watching our performance . What I noticed , that Verona was so expensive . Likely they were Chinese trading cheap souvenirs . Hurray .We would buy something for these who stayed home .  In Italy tourism is just massive machine. A crowd of tourists always even out of the season following  the most popular destinations  .  This is a masterpiece and  The next was tour around Garda Lake , what has been just amazing experience . Our guide communicated in English very well and knew another two languages . 

We would see a many lovely landscapes . 

Excursion to Veniece will stay in my memories forever . Let's to be honest . We may have such beautiful buildings from Renaissance age in my home city . We may enjoy many other lakes for example in Zakopane ,but Veniece represents such unique character . As our guide said with funny English accent there are many problems ,but they could  not imagine to live somewhere else . 

Walk around St Mark Square , visiting cathedral were in the program . Hiring traditional boat and journey toward canals is very expensive , but we used water taxi instead . 

We were waiting  for a while . Some ordered coffee on the way . Unfortunately one of our group member got her coffee too late , so she just head off whilst man from the coffee shop  came along with . It created not nice situation . 

I left Italy fallen in love with food . 

My Maltese Fascination 

The  time to make change in  my holidays habits came along. 

Let's start to be practical . I have swapped  my flat for smaller size what  was a chose  of  cheaper rent payment  option .For how long is possible wait for hubby . 

Because I have heard a lot about Malta from somebody ,who had been there just a few months before my holidays term and I haven't any plans made yet I decided to go over there . 

All I booked with travel office . I just was beginner taking my first steps on the travellers road . I began organise everything on my own later . 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Accommodation was chosen in San Pawl Hotel , half board and transfer from airport included . 

I was about ambivalent impression . I wasn't sure that this place is not overrated . Style of buildings I have founded quite specific :the same kind of rocks used for . It makes architecture over there such specific . It's massive progress made during the last years period . I began curious ,what I am going to do over there for a whole week . When I arrived to  hotel the first thing  hit me just from the starting point .It was language ,which I would to hear. Amazingly they speak their own language , which combines some English, French, Arabic and Italian phrases . They also speak Italian well.   I was expecting just English only . 

General information .

  

There are some information which is good to know about Malta . 

The first of all is that is the island located in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea . The closest is Sicily , which can be reached by ferry .  In fact these are three islands :Malta , Comino and Gozo . This is the most crowded country in whole the Europe . It has been the most Catholic country toward the Europe too ,what is probably just a history only. Historical aspect is just fascinating as in cause of  this location Maltese history is stormy and is started   thousands years ago . Firstly settled by Phoenicians , under rule of Maltese Knights for a few ages , taken off by French during Napoleon's hegemony and becoming English colony after them  . Finally Malta became independent from 1964. Actually is a part of EU. Very important role in history of Malta played fight with Turkish Empire . After decades of war  Ottoman imperium  was refused , what resulted in high donations from the whole  Europe . The best architects were sent to create the most beautiful architecture which I  have ever seen . 

Valetta is probably the best of example with churches and walls to see . Of course is impossible forget about  Maltese Knights   Hospital .And again during the Second War these people showed  unbelievable heroism and didn't let be occupied by Hitler's  army. Hospital became a sanitary point for soldiers from Africa . 

 

Everything is to explore during a Maltese Experience movie projection , which is translated in 16 languages .

Whatever you are looking for during holidays Malta can offer perhaps contains anything you need .Malta is like a pill for any holidays experience which You only need . If You are interested in watersports and wish experience lovely Mediterranean  sea ;cruises ,snorkeling  , swimming with dolphins .That's no problem . Blue Lagune in Comino is the best place to do it so . There are schools in Bugibba .Safari ride or aeroplane flight may be organised as well .Do You want enjoy clubbing ? St Julian's is probably the most proper for this issue.  Anyway we had entertainments in hotel every night . For me this combination of historical buildings and sea with fungus rocks creates so special atmosphere which I just love. It made me going there next and next time.
